Welcome! If you’re here I guess you want to know a little more about me and my company. That’s me with my wonderful husband in the photo above.

A little history for you…elle Z designs began as a personalized gift company in 2004, owned and operated by yours truly. For four years I enjoyed making personalized item for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, memorials, fundraisers, and more.

In 2008 I began designing invitations and other items for my own wedding. I received many compliments on my unique designs; nobody had seen anything like my invitations before. When my wedding planner said, “You know…you could sell these” I realized I had stumbled upon a wonderful market that perfectly complimented my obsession with paper and passion to design, create, and make people happy. With the support of my wonderful husband Andy, we renamed and restructured the business which is now known as elle Z designs, which is a play off my former initials and nickname, “LZ”. Located in the Iowa-Illinois Quad City Area, I create my designs with professional software and high-tech equipment before carefully hand-assembling each individual piece.

I spend my days working as a corporate banker and I’m almost done with my MBA from the University of Iowa. Aside from that, you know, in my “free time” I’m usually working on creative projects if I’m not spending time with my husband and three dogs.  (No, I don’t sleep much…why do you ask?)
